Phoenix Raceway Phoenix Raceway, a 1-mile tri-oval in Avondale, Arizona, opened in 1964 and is owned by NASCAR. It hosts two annual NASCAR weekends, including the championship races since 2020. The track joined the NASCAR Cup Series in 1988 and added a spring race in 2005. It also hosts the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and Xfinity Series. The championship races will continue at Phoenix through at least 2025.
