It hosts the Formula One United States Grand Prix, NASCAR's Texas Grand Prix, and MotoGP's Grand Prix of the Americas. Proposed in 2010, it is the first purpose-built F1 track in the U.S., designed by Tavo Hellmund, Kevin Schwantz, and Hermann Tilke.
